A Letter of Intent for the delivery of 40+40 wind mills has been signed by Energiekontor AG and AREVA Wind. The turbines of the type M5000 shall be erected at Borkum Riffgrund West, the site of which has already been approved by the authorities. Its location is in the North Sea, approx. 45 km to the north-west of Borkum.

According to the agreements AREVA Wind will manufacture the wind energy plants, which are constructed for offshore operation, for Energiekontor AG at its location in Bremerhaven.
